Samplitude has been a first rate offering for a long, long time (and Sequoia sits atop an even loftier peak that I gaze up wistfully at every now and then) -but it seems the company has wandered off the tracks or has a couple of wheels loose.
This all really pains me, as I was using Samplitude happily back in my Commodore Amiga days in the 90's and also got very excited when they announced they'd be porting to Mac (which they ended up not doing, of course). Seems overly pricey to me for what you get (I have the full versions of all their included iZotope and Melodyne add-ons, and while the included sample content is very good, it doesn't compare to what I have and make use of). I'm hunting around for discussion on Pro X 4 Suite (which I have) vs the upgrade.
